In addition to Obama speech on race, after listening of the view of my classmates I have came to the conclusion that the Obama speech was well thought out. All audience members were involved despite race or religion. Obama speech was well understood for all audience members. Our class used the rhetorical strategy of theme that Obama used to play out his message. Obama message was very clear. His message was in order to make a perfect union is to deal with racism. What’s meant by dealing with racism is how to come to a common ground of understanding with the American people. We as American people are fighting each other rather than standing as one union.

Obama Speech on Race
Why you speak of race, you not only speaking on the color of one’s skin but along speaking on ones moral beliefs, Obama have a way in separating ones value of race by using strategy. In Barack Obama speech on race he used many different strategies to capture the audience attention. Obama speech was more of an informative speech. The style was to inform in an emotional appeal. He tends to use the personal beliefs and values so that the audience would relate more on a social stand.
Obama pointed out the problems that we have with race and how it’s carried along for generation to generation. There was so-what and connection with the topic in class about how technology doesn’t change but it evolves. I believe that is what Obama was informing the audience. On a personal note, I really valued the point in Obama's speech on how he states that his white grandmother is scared on the very race that is a part of her. This is the change comes in, dealing with different races and culture shouldn’t be unknown, in other word, what you don’t know shouldn’t cause resentment. Obama then go on to say the problems that we have with race still effect education, welfare and other social problem even long after laws ways passed. Obama tone in his voice was very demanding and serious in his cause. At the end of his speech he shared with the audience change in the view of race be stating the turn in generation.
