PART 3:  AUDIENCE ANALYSIS AND DELIVERY

The argument on legalizing prostitution will be geared toward the general public. When we speak of the general public we are speaking in terms of all people. Children, teenagers, parents, business owner, married people, the media and the government are our key audience members when speaking on such profession. Government plays a major role in our audience due to the fact that it is an illegal profession in the state of Michigan. Legalizing prostitution will affect other states and other countries as well. It will also affect business and the working class people in many ways. By legalizing prostitution it will affect people day to day life and others lifestyle. This profession is a big business opportunity for most business professional.

Posting an xtranormal video of the legalization of prostitution will open the eyes of the general public to see that prostitution could benefit the economic crisis that the state of Michigan is facing today. This video will also benefit local business by bring in more business to the state of Michigan posting an YouTube video of our evaluation  and proposal of legalizing prostitution in Michigan will impact all communities in Michigan. The topic itself will negatively be drawn down by the people. However, after hearing our proposal about legalization of prostitution, people are bond to change their minds and their total outlook of this profession. The general public will be greatly turned out due to the outcome of how prostitution could positively have an impact on Michigan and other states.
PART4:  DESIGN
Now that we have settled into our final project, we have begun searching and checking out Xtranormal.com. We were able to discover many different backgrounds and character that fit our proposal. We were first undecided on which one of the two backgrounds to chose. The first background setting was located in a bar, the other was a bedroom. The bar setting was a good opportunity to show the audience that this could be a good establishment to pick up costumers for sexual pleasures. We resulted in using the bedroom. The bedroom is a more discrete place to handle all business transaction. It is also primarily where sexual activities are took place.
While looking through the website, we searched for specific characters that would make a good connection with the background that we selected. We wanted to use male and female characters. The first character that we discovered was our female character. We looked for a woman who was dressed provocative and could be displayed as our definition of a prostitute. A half naked woman was perfect.  Our male character that’s used in our short movie will give you the impression that he is an undercover police, who totally disagrees with legalizing prostitution. We are pleased with the characters that we have chosen, although if the website had a police dressed in uniform, could have been used as an advantage of using law enforcement.
Our specified audience is the General Public. We are more focus on people that are looking for job opportunities, the government and teens in order for the legalization of prostitution.

PART 5:
Building the theory of online rhetoric through xtranormal software was a creative challenge.  Xtranormal.com has the options to choose characters from a variety of genres.  The characters could be male/female, male/male, female/female, superheroes, robots, even crash dummies.  Choosing who to play a role in a short movie is like being a director.  After choosing our casts, next xtranormal gives choices of sets which is the background or location of the scene and allows you to change actors/actresses and their voices from English to foreign accents.  There is a sound selection also that offers features of background sound and background music.  The sound selection must be choosing wise because it can become a distraction.  The tone of the background music and sound needs to match with the voice pitches so the audience can hear the conversation.  And finally the story’s section which allows you to type in the text boxes whatever you want your characters to say with the choice of ad-lives like looking at the camera, changing camera angles, motions, finger-pointing, face gestures, look at and pauses.  The characters lines must be reviewed with changes in the formatting for comparison to judge which scenes needs adjustments for story lines, sound and background.
Xtranormal.com offers may features we can use to translate our project into a movie.  In xtranormal format making the characters act dramatic was a strategy to building ethos.  Choosing humans to play our roles instead of robots or crash dummies in another way we incorporated ethos.  When  you text the characters story lines xtranormal gives you options to use a face gesture, pause, or look at the camera for an example.  Making the characters act out rather than talk what we typed was another one of our strategies.  We was able to type sources from our research in  a conversational manner by stating where they got their information.  There is a bubble feature that’s for adding titles or credits.  Asking a question in a precise wording can catch our audience attention because the wording will persuade you to want to answer the question and become a part of the discussion.  A pause is also a great way to catch the audience attention.  The strategies on xtranormal also allow you to use your own voice as another feature.  Composing in xtranormal our concepts from the evaluation proposal project was an amazing obstacle.  Creativity was the key because making characters act out a controversial topic was a challenge.  The writing process of lines for character was like putting an actual movie together.  But with the digital technology we were able to edit, save, listen, preview before publishing faster and more conveniently.  These strategies can also be link to Facebook, wordpress, twitter and others to receive comments and likes from online users.
PART 7:
Xtranormal is a site that brings movie making to the people. It allows people to make a movie using their own script and animated characters on the site. Xtranomal has numerous amounts of settings, actors, and music you can choose when making your movie. The subject of are movie is prostitution, in are movie there is a prostitute trying to convince the police officer to pay for sex.  The police officer turns her down and tries to take her to jail after he explained to her that prostitution is illegal. Then the prostitute explains to him why she thinks it should be illegal and the officer agrees.  In are video we use an exotic female in bra and panties and undercover office dressed in street clothes. The setting we choose was a bed room setting. The default characters and settings both contribute to creating an authentic environment and situation as possible just as it happens in real life. Xtranormal is a good site to use when making a movie but it does has some downfalls.
Xtranormal might not be one of the best sites to use because it’s an animated site. All the characters and settings are animated. This creates a cartoonish kiddy look in your movie.  This is not a good thing because if you’re making a movie for an older audience the animated look and loose them quickly. Also if you’re trying to give a message in your movie your audience has to listen and take it seriously. An example is in are movie the message is about legalizing prostitution. Prostitution is a very serious topic and the animation in the movie takes away from it. Are audience might not hear are message because they do not take the movie seriously. Things that we wish we could have done in are movie that were not available on the extra normal site were have more characters and settings to choose from or create our own characters and settings. Also have more scenes during the movie.
Creating are own characters from head to toe, dressing them, picking body hair and facial features would be fun. Having more scenes and camera angles during the movie would make it like an actual movie. A software program we could use instead of Xtranormal is Sony Vegas. This program lets you mix and edit movies using your own video character setting and script. It has a number of different tools to edit and create a movie.

What is God?

How did the earth become what it is today? Who created the shy, moon, sun and the stars? Who created the trees, birds and the bees? Most importantly, who created the human being? Over the years, human beings have evolved to become the most intelligent being on the face of the earth. We have created all kind of ways to communicate with each other in a matter of years. We have come so far from where we started from. The real question that remains is where did we start from? Scientist tries to figure it out by using all kinds of scientific notation, information and objects, but there is something that just can’t be explained. To define our existence, most people believe in God. God is defined as a Supreme Being. A Supreme Being is a being that is all powerful, all knowing, and all good. God by definition is the creature of the Universe. I am a stronger believer in God myself but there sometime questions that I need answered. When choosing the topic for this paper, I realized that God could mean a lot of things too many people in different cultures and nothing in others. As I mention early, God is suppose to be all power, all knowing and all good (PKG).  My argument is if God suppose to be all good, the one who love the world that he gave his only begotten son, why do he allows bad things to happen.  Why god does allow apparently pointless suffering for some reason that we can't comprehend?
Mr. PKG, the creature of the universe suppose to have the ability to know what’s going to happen before it happen and have to book of  our life. Before we do an evil or bad crime, god supposes to already know.  If god already that a guy is going to rap a poor little old lady why would he allow it to happen. Why does he allow poverty?  I don’t understand why if your PKG you would allow natural destroy to happen. Based upon William Rowe in the Problems of evil he said “Other versions of the evidential argument concede that God could have a morally sufficient reason for allowing certain evils to occur to ensure that some greater good is achieved as a consequence of an evil. However, proponents add, God would only allow as much evil or suffering as is absolutely necessary in order to achieve greater goods. But when we look at the world around us, we find prevalent instances of apparently gratuitous evil—pointless evils from which no greater good seems to result.” This really helped me into coming to my conclusion that maybe God is testing us.
By putting people to the test is what make God powerful. God has the ability to keep people questioning his existence which I find very creative. God have the power to put people in situation where you don’t really understand what happened, what going to happen and why did that even happen. Some people believe that they have good luck, bad luck or no luck at all. This is where God lay. How you ever been I a situation where the math doesn’t add up. In that case most people believe the power of God changes the math so people can believe in his existence.
Sometime I believe there is a reason for evil doings. Have you heard the saying where there is a good there is a bad. Maybe evils can lead to greater goods, for example someone just lost their job but later they got a higher paying position at another jobs. Could that be the reason why god allow evil thing to happen. Most people call that faith. According to Wikipedia, Faith is trust, hope and belief in the goodness, trustworthiness or reliability of a person, concept or entity. Religious faith is a belief in a transcendent reality, a religious teacher, and a set of teachings or a Supreme Being. With faith in God most people think anything is possible.

In the text here is the argument from evil for the nonexistence of God.  However, is almost like a puzzle. If God exists, then God is omnipotent, omniscient, and morally perfect. In the journal of Stanford encyclopedia philosophy it shows the following.
  1. If God is omnipotent, then God has the power to eliminate all evil.
  2. If God is omniscient, then God knows when evil exists.
  3. If God is morally perfect, then God has the desire to eliminate all evil.
  4. Evil exists.
  5. If evil exists and God exists, then either God doesn't have the power to eliminate all evil, or doesn't know when evil exists, or doesn't have the desire to eliminate all evil.
  6. Therefore, God doesn't exist
I have to disagree. I do believe there is a god but for some reason he is allowing evil things to happen. How can we love and worship God when he allows us to suffer in these ways?  That’s where faith takes it place. This is when I came up with the following.
God gave the human being the ability of free will. Maybe we took advantage of what god has given us and decided to take matters in our own hands which will have made us the creatures of evil right? To have the ability to do as you will you tend to forget where you came from?  On the other hand, maybe good gave us free will to make us his suspire.
1.       God is PKG
2.      God can destroy evil
3.      Human are free willed
4.      Evil is not destroyed
God is not going to destroy evil thing from happening. It is up to us to do good things to keep evil things from happening to us. God is putting human being to the test to see what we are going to do with the free will that we have. We are using god for all the things that we are doing wrong. These issues are very serious and important to our nature.  Only not as we try to defend our belief in God, but also as we live out our lives.
According to definition, God suppose to know all. Most people my say if god knows it all then what it the purpose of going there the motion of life on earth. Speaking from my understanding, if you want an honestly made bed you have to make it yourself. This mean in order to have something good you have to work for. God is not giving any handouts. So life itself is the process that God plans for us to work our way through life.
Is God good? Yes good is good. The goodness of God comes from life itself. The gift of life is what makes God good. On the other hand, if life is God’s gift than what is death? Most commonly people look at death as a bad thing. So if death is bad and God is PKG then God is not good. That happens to be wrong. God is all good. The decision that people make according to the free will that people make causes death. Life is all about the decision people make day to day which is on the people.
Here are words from David Hume I am strongly beside him as follows “The key to the resolution of this apparent conflict is to recognize that when we say God is all powerful, we do not imply that He is capable of doing anything imaginable.” True, Scripture states that "with God all things are possible" (Mt. 19:26). But Scripture also states that there are some things God cannot do. For instance, God cannot lie (Tit. 1:2). Neither can He be tempted to sin, nor can He tempt others to sin (James 1:13). In other words, He cannot do anything that is "out of character" for a righteous God. Neither can He do anything that is out of character for a rational being in a rational world. Certainly even God cannot "undo the past," or create a square triangle, or make what is false true. In conclusion God is a part of people everyday lives, weather you recognize it or not. He cannot do what is irrational or absurd. He is PKG and is all good. The last thing to think about is what you believe in. You have the will to do as you please.

I am very happy that I chosen to come to class today. I would have not known that assignment two was due today. However class today is very small and gives us an more individual outlook on the next assignment. Art is everything :)

Overview

This semester I learned have to organize a rhetorical argument. This class helped me become opened mined to over look what something actually is (art). I realized this you must use logic along with pathos and ethos. You must know your audience. you need to keep the audience attention and some why you paper have any meaning to it. This course helped me think about exigencies.  The final project will put everything together.

Technology

Technology is a resource for the human being to more around the earth very affiance. Technology is used to make life easier for the human race. Technology affects the way we communicate, transport around the world and make things easy on time.  The way we communicate has advances due to technology. We can communicate with family and friend across the country with a click of a button (phone or internet). We are now able to move around the world in a matter of hours due to technology. Cars, boats, trains and planes helps use move place to place along with our goods. Before the advancement in technology it would have took a single person month to move around the country. Technology has made it faster for use to transport in a timely matter.

Project 2
Music videos influence on teenagers

As soon as the BET Awards were over, I started receiving lots of texts and calls from my friends. They were describing every single detail about the show. This made me realize that music video plays a major role in teenager’s lives. Every new video that hit the air wave become popular. It seems like the day after a video is shown everyone knows the dance moves to it. Music videos play a great role in influencing teenager’s behavior in the American society by affecting their physical and mental health. Music videos inspire teens to become entertainers. However, it also affects the behavior in must. Just a few years back, it was easier to keep away certain television station from teens. By the advancement in today’s technology it is easier for them to access just about anything. Music videos are very beneficial for teenagers. Music videos help keeps up with teen physical and mental health, as well as being an inspiration to them. However, music videos are becoming too exclusive for teens to listen and watch. Producers and music artist should keep in concentration there viewers are not only adults but teens as well.

Teenagers are a group of people that are not adults but not far from becoming one. Teens are at the stage of live where they figuring everything out. They are developing some kind of self identity. We are very moody at time and tend to make life changing decision. According to Wikipedia, a teenage is the transitional stage of physical and mental human development. A music video is a film that last about four to five minute long that included singing and dancing throughout that time. Music videos are designed to capture the attention of the audience by song.
The history of music video is important because it effect teens in many ways. Music videos have come a long way in time and young people don’t realize the impact that it makes on their day to day lives. According to slide share which receive most of it information from Wikipedia   the first type of video was invented in 1941, a new invention hits clubs and bars in the USA called the Panoram Soundie which is a jukebox that plays short video clips along with the music. In 1956, Hollywood discovers the genre of music-centered films. A wave of rock and roll films begins (Rock around the Clock, Don and Knock the Rock, Shake, Rattle and Rock, Rock Pretty Baby, The Girl Can and Help It, and the famous Elvis Presley movies). Some of these films integrated musical performances into a story, others were simply revues. 1960: In France a re-invention of the Soundie, the Scopitone, gains limited success. 1962: British Television invents a new form of music television. Shows like Top of the Pops, Ready! Steady! Go! And Oh, Boy started as band vehicles and became huge hits. 1964: The US-Television market adapts the format. Hullabaloo is one of the first US shows of this kind, followed by Shindig! (NBC) and American Bandstand; The Beatles star in A Hard Day and Night.
Teenagers listen to an average of nearly 2.5 hour of music per day. Guess what they’re hearing? One in three popular video contain explicit references to drug and alcohol usage according to a new report in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. That means kids are receiving about 35 references to substance abuse for every hour of music they listen to, the authors determined. While songs about drugs and excess are nothing new, the issue is getting more attention because so many teens now have an MP3 player or a compact disc player in their bedrooms. Studies have long shown that media messages have a pronounced impact on childhood risk behavior. Exposure to image of smoking in videos influences a teens risk for picking up a smoking habit. Alcohol use in videos and promotions also links to actual alcohol use.

According to Sid Kirchheimer article on the study “association found between video viewing time and risky behavior,” finds after studying 522 black girls between the ages of 14 and 18 from non-urban, lower socioeconomic neighborhoods, researchers found that compared to those who never or rarely watched these videos, the girls who viewed these gangster videos for at least 14 hours per week were far more likely to practice numerous destructive behaviors. Over the course of the one-year study, they were: Three times more likely to hit a teacher, Over 2.5 times more likely to get arrested Twice as likely to have multiple sexual partners, 1.5 times more likely to get a sexually transmitted disease, use of drugs, or drink alcohol.

Music video has a major effect on teen mental and physical growth. Studies shows on an average day teens watch about five hour of television and must of that time is spent on music videos. After interview Caria Alderson on this study I received a lot of information that help me figures out the development of teens. I asked Caria a series of question but the question on how music video changes her mental health become an eye focuser. Music videos changed her life by casting out all negative energy. Caria stated “when I’m sitting in front of the TV screen watching music videos everything become clear to me. It drives me to a better place in my life. It helps me develop my own staff identity and puts my mind at peace. Music videos changed my total outlook of life because the people in them seem so happy and driven and I know that be hide the screen that it not that simple.” On the flip side, music video helps teens stay physically active. Teens can work physical activity into everyday routines, such as dancing to the music. Teen might also feel more comfortable doing home exercise so videos can help them with a guide line with movements.
Music becomes an inspiration for most teenagers. All throughout my high school, I wanted to be just like Beyonce. Beyonce haves a drive that shows the every movement that she makes and that become very inspiring to me. This made me want to become an entertainer. I wanted to fan, the new car, Hollywood and all other thing that can with stardom.  Still today, you have young people they think the same about their favorite music artist which make the difference in one’s life. Music videos can inspire just by the different was people chose to live there life. This makes it easy for someone to identify their self with their favorite artists.
In conclusion, music videos really benefits teen’s growth as an identity. It helps them determine who they are as a person and effects their mental development. It becomes an inspiration for most and shows a physical change in most. However, I think that all music producers, artist and most importantly parents should watch what they’re eyes and keep in concentration what’s good for them. We have the most influence over teen’s life. We also have the ability to make a difference in their lives. They pick up every little thing they see and here. Parents you have the overall control of your teen. Most of the music artists out here are role models for teens. So as a role model does you really want teens to here all the proactive things that you allow to be played on the radio. Keep the teens in mind please. As Michael Sherman and David Brittan said in the article of “ the influence of music and Rock videos,” the parents can help their teenager by paying attention to their teenagers purchasing, listening and viewing patterns, and by helping them identify music that may be destructive.

The last few days everything has been a little bit crazy. My car has final dead on me and for some reason I couldn’t get in contact with anyone. It seem like when something goes wrong there is no one to be found.  I drop my laptop and everything that I had was documented on there. I didn’t have a chance to figure off my topic for my cultural analysis and review the comments for my first paper so today is going to be the day I rap up my late week and this week ( not fun at all). The only thing I can do at this point is smile.

Technology and Culture

From  walking to driving know to flying, there has been a major changes in the way people communicate due to technology.Technology changes the culture of the American people in many ways. The American people moves around the new technical devices for a better way to communicate with each other. Everything from cell phone to computers and security is evolving. Everything is about communication.  From generation to generation, there has been something new about the changes in the American people due to technology.
I am finally finished with my first project paper.  I’m ready to more on to the next assignment. I have to say, I enjoyed writing this analysis. I learn a lot from the writing center. They helped transition my paragraphs to make the flow and with my conclusion which has always been a problem for me.

Final Draft

Vampires, goons, and monsters are all creators of the night. They are only seen hidden in the dark. I wonder why I never came across one. It leads me to the question are they real and where did they come from? This question is for you to decide. George Romero produced the outstanding film called “Dairy of the Dead.” He uniquely turns the film into a small story about zombies which I find amazing.  Throughout the film Romero also shows other points that support his strategy such as how the government and news media hide information from the public to keep and how the human race will do anything for survival based on what is put on the internet. The purpose of the movie was to capture the truth on how media affects our daily lives. In Romero’s Dairy of the Dead, and Jason Creeds team Death of Death, both authors use characters to send a message about how the internet and national media portray real world events and how to protect themselves in from such events. Make-up and special effects are used to expose to the audience that the events in the film are very realistic. Finally, Romero uses a movie within a movie; this gives the audience a different perspective on how the movie is played out.

Within this film there is a film called “Death of Death” taking place as well, which is produced film student by Jason Creed.  In the film there was some kind of revolution going on where dead people started coming back to life. It starts off with an immigrant family maybe from Mexico that turn into the living dead, or as stated in the film as zombies.  The news spreads all over the internet and radio station of the zombie attack. Meanwhile, Jason Creed found himself shooting a movie about zombies. Jason and his team find out about the attack on a radio broadcast and try to figure out whether or not to take the situation seriously. One of the team members took immediate response to the board cast as other waited to see what was going on, however, they all ended up deciding to go home with their families. There were more and more people becoming zombies, to the point that the hospital and even their homes were unsafe. Throughout all of the tremendous attack, Jason Creed is filming every detail. Creed produced interviews form his team member just in case they were not going to survive through the outbreak. Throughout the attack of the zombies, lots of dishonesty from the government was taking place. The government was broadcasting to the people that everything is going be ok and telling them to just live the life’s they had until that point, when all the people knew that was a lie. In about the middle of the film you start to see a change in the attitudes of the characters in the film. Every day people were becoming savages. They would do anything for food and shelter. Some of the people look at it in a way that they could take over by killing and stealing from others. By the end of the film, Creeds girlfriend took it upon herself to finish the movie and release it to the public so everyone could see what really happened and learn how to live through the attack. The film also was meant to scare the people and show them how humans we act in life changing situations. The last scene in the movie had two rednecks shooting at zombies for fun like they were never once human. These lead Creeds girlfriends to question herself are we really worth saving? Throughout all of the series of events that is taking place, Romero has something hidden through the characters to demonstrate ethos to the audience.
Romero uses the characters to send a message to the public. He uses ethos through the action of the characters. The characters are carrying out a message. The message itself is a bit simple, however, within the message there is something else that Romero is trying to tell the audience.  The media and the government are covering up the details and the truth about the attack and playing it off as if it was a minor problem. Romero used Jason creed and his team to expose the government and their lies. In the beginning of the film, he showed how the news report basically reported what sounded realistic rather than reporting what they actually saw. The government changes the view of what really going on to make society believe everything is alright. Therefore, the public only saw what was reported. People learn how to survive by watching the truth and how to deal with it. The internet is the way of covering the view of the story. In reacting to this outbreak, Creed gathers his team to show the truth for people awareness. It teaches the people how to protect themselves. The message that seemed to be hidden was how the people were changing outside their own nature. You may think that was pretty obvious, but what wasn’t obvious is how the people started turning on each other. The characters that Romero used were a perfect fit. I’m not speaking of the characters themselves, however, about the usage of them.  Normal people (non zombie) were killing and stealing from each other. Romero’s message shows the audience that during time of serious need, the human race will become something that maybe is already installed in us. The truth will not be revealed until time of desperate measures. This strategy gives the audience some kind of awareness. It helps the people protect themselves from themselves. By using make-up and effects it expresses pathos to the audience to capture an emotional appeal to help the audience understand ways to avoid having to use desperate measures.

Make-up and effects are added to show Romero’s way of expressing the emotional appeal to the film. Make up is used to express the characters character. In this case, the zombies are wearing make up in expression of some kind of horror. Effects such as camera motion, sound and tone are used to show another kind of emotional appeal. Different noises and motion of the camera are meant to scare the audience. You may be thinking why would you want to scare them? Well I believe it helps keep the audience attention on the production.  This strategy helps the audience capture an emotional feel to the movie. It helps prepare the audience for real world tragedy. This gives them a guideline of what to do in such cases.  Pathos is used numerous times throughout the scene. In the middle of the film, the characters are at an hospital. Romero uses the zombies in doctor uniforms and blood all over their clothing killing each other. This shows a visual image of pathos. Music that is being played and the sound and tone of it show emotional actions. Without make-up you wouldn’t have an actual sense of how fear feels. With bloodshed, guns and death, the audience would be tricked into believing that the world is a perfect place. In all actuality it not, Romero’s make-up and effects strategy shows the audience that people are dying every day, maybe not from zombies but from war and everyday life. People are dying every day and its being covered up by the people. We are the people, we are hiding the truth from ourselves and that is Romero’s point along with the scaring us.
Romero’s purpose of placing the film into film is to show the audience the entire viewpoints of the movie. By having two films within each other it make it seem like an actual tragedy. The second is an attachment to the first one. This strategy helps the audience understand how the attack happened. I believe if the film itself was only “dairy of the dead”, you would only see the view as an audience that is watching a normal movie. You understand only the basic concept which is zombies attacking people and how it’s being covered up. You wouldn’t have a clue on how to protect yourself in case of an actual zombie attack, and know the ways of survival throughout it. With it being a movie within a movie, there are benefits. The audience gets to see a two way street of the film. One way is how to view the tragedy and the other is what to do when there is a tragedy of the kind. Basically the audience will be able to see the cause and the effect. Jason Creeds team film effect the audience with awareness by exposing the media. It lets the public see the actual stories of the people. When there became more and more people blogging and telling stories the true became hard to find.  To help support this strategy of make-up and effects, Romero placed a film within another film to also show pathos but more so logos to show a logical reason of the attack and what to do
How people react when there is something going on and things they do when they become scared shows the true nature of us. People tend to do things that they normally wouldn’t do when something it’s at risk. When people are at their last of everything they will do anything to get what they need such as killing stealing to get the basic needs of survival like food and water. This argues that maybe human’s nature is to do such things. Creeds team put it best when the editor stated that “maybe it’s us against them,” (speaking on humans against zombies) however, creed turns it around and say they are us saying that humans are adapting to the habit of zombies. People start to turn against each other. In Conclusion, Romero’s entire purpose of using the element of the characters and the media was to get the attention of the audience to realize that these events could actually happen and what we as the people are prepared to do in such tragic moments. I’m not saying that we can actually become zombies but we can turn true tragic moments into false prospection. Are we prepared by Romero’s movie within a movie to show us what to do in such tragedy? Has the make-up and effects scared us enough where our reactions become more ethical? Finally, have the characters carried out a clear message so that we understand it. To sum it all up, Romero’s strategy’s of using make-up and effect shows an emotional appeal. Romero uses the characters to show ethos by sending a message and the concept of having a film within another is to so logic. With all of the strategies but in place, the entire message makes you question yourself about the truth? Is it true that we are becoming the product of our own environment?

draft 5

Vampires, goons, and monsters are all creators of the night. They are only seen at night. I wonder why I never came across one. It leads me to the question are they real and where do they come from? This question is for you to decide. George Romero product the outstanding film called “Dairy of the Dead.” He uniquely turns the film into a small story about zombies which I find amazing. In Romero’s Dairy of the Dead, and Jason Creeds team Death of Death film about Zombies, both authors uses characters to send a message about how the internet and national media portray real world events and how to protect themselves in from such events. Make-up and effects are used to show the audience that the events in the film are very realistic. Finally, Romero uses a movie within a movie, this gives the audience different prospective on how the movie is played out. Throughout the film Romero also shows other points that support his strategy such as how the government and news media hide information from the public to keep and how the human race will do anything for survival based on what is put on the internet. The purpose of the movie was to capture the truth on how media affects our daily lives. Throughout the series of events used in Romero’s Dairy of the dead, the movie itself tell a very unique story.

Within this film there is a film called “Death of Death” taking place as well, which is produced film student by Jason Creed.  In the film there was some kind of revolution going on where dead people started coming back to life. It start off with an immigrant family maybe from Mexico that turn into the living dead, or as stated in the film as zombies.  The news spreads all over the internet and radio station of the zombie attack. Meanwhile while these events occur, Jason Creed is shooting a movie himself about zombies. Jason and his team found out about the attack on a radio board cast and didn’t know whether or not to take the situation seriously. One of the team members took immediate response to the board cast as other waited to see what was going on, however, they all ended up deciding to go home with their families. There were more and more people becoming zombies, to the point that the hospital and even their homes were unsafe to go to. Throughout all of the tremendous outrage, Jason Creed is filming every detail. Throughout it all there is something that Romero wants the audience to know so he uses the character to show ethos.

Romero uses the characters to send a message to the public. He uses ethos throw the action of the characters.

Make-up and effects are added to show Romero’s way of expressing his emotional appeal to the film. This strategy helps the audience capture a emotional feel to the movie. It helps prepare the audience for real world tragedy. This gives them a guideline of what to do in such cases.  Pathos is used numerous times throughout the scene. Music that is being played and the sound and tone of it show emotional actions. Without make-up you wouldn’t have an actual sense of how fear feels. With bloodshed, guns and death, the audience would be tricked into believing that the world is a perfect place.
